Can your food choices impact your brain?

I cannot tell people enough how important your food choices are when it comes to your mental health.

A. A High-Fructose diet feeds pathogens in your gut, which allows them to overtake beneficial bacteria.

B. Sugar suppresses activity of a key growth hormone in your brain.

C. Sugar consumption also triggers chemical reactions in your body that promote inflammation.

D. Sugar also contributes to insulin and leptin resistance.

E. Side effects of aspartame consumption and other artificial sweetener/ingredients include depression and panic attacks.

A food that enhances your mood you may ask ?

Protein! A high-quality source of protein like eggs, cheese or almonds helps to keep your blood sugar levels steady which enhances your energy and mood.
