First, what is On Ramp? On Ramp is a 5 part series that new members can attend as an introduction to CrossFit or personal training at Blue Wave Fit: Home to CrossFit 1088. In these sessions, you will  learn:

  • Fundamental movements we use in CrossFit
  • any lingo or acronyms that might be confusing
  • The science behind the training
  • Blue Wave gym etiquette
  • Any movement changes you might need depending on limitations or previous injuries

 

Why did we design the program? When we first opened, every member was new to training here- and we didn’t have a lot of members! We basically taught the fundamentals during our small classes.

As we grew, we saw a need for some individuals to start with just a trainer. Time apart from the class. Or maybe they didn’t want to go into classes at all. Their bodies needed the time to get used to exercising differently, or exercising consistently. Their minds needed time to process this new training regiment and an opportunity to ask questions.

And as this need arose, we decided to design the On Ramp Personal Training Program to address it. And it has been a beautiful thing. 

If you prefer the convenience of scheduling appointments around your schedule, want individual attention, are intimated to jump into a class, or maybe just want to talk about a previous injury you sustained or a condition that might require some modifications, this program is perfect for you! 

 

What is the cost? The fee for this program is $160 and includes 5- 60 min personal training sessions.

If you are new, this program is beneficial because it:

  • Gives you an opportunity to ask as many questions as you want
  • Allows you to space the sessions out
  • Is repeatable if you feel uncomfortable with the class option
  • Helps you get over any initial soreness
  • Eliminates pressure to lift a certain weight or perform at a certain level
