Each new year I meet with dozens of people ready to make a change in their life. They’re frustrated. They’re bored.They saw a recent picture of themselves and were aghast. Maybe their clothes are tight or they saw something in the mirror that shocked them into doing something about it. They come see me.

They want to change. I want to help.

Should be an easy slam dunk, right?

But you and I both know that changing ourselves, REALLY CHANGING, is… DIFFICULT. Sometimes near impossible. Because who we are today is a result of habits we’ve had up until now.

And it’s tough to change those habits.

But, I’m here to tell you YOU CAN.

People can and do change. YOU can change. You can change the way your clothes feel. You can change how you feel about yourself. You can become a fitter you than you were last year. Or a decade ago.

You see, I have learned there are two simple, yet CRITICAL things that lead people to the goal they want to achieve. 

If you want to save for a trip this year that will cost you $2000, putting away $40 a week would get you to that goal. Sounds great, right?

But we know that it isn’t that simple. Things get in the way. Life happens.

The AC unit breaks down. The kids need extra money for their upcoming school field trip. An unexpected car accident leads to unexpected medical bills. And that seemingly small $40 slips away each month.

BUT,  what if you had that money withdrawn from your account every month automatically. Or had a financial advisor call you for that payment each month? It would definitely be harder to get out of AND you’d probably meet your goal at the end of the year.

That’s called CONSISTENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY

Consistently put in the effort. And have someone or something hold you accountable when life happens.

That’s what it will take for YOU to HIT YOUR GOAL.

So that’s what we’ve been perfecting here at CrossFIt 1088. A fun, yet serious way to actually HIT YOUR GOALS- through consistent attendance, personal coaching and friendly accountability.

I’ve been studying what it takes to REALLY stick to an exercise commitment and learn how to eat well for your body. We’ve worked with hundreds of people ready to change. I know you are too if you’re still reading this.
